Finding the right skincare routine is a journey. It can take a lot of trial and error to find the products and the consistency your skin needs to feel its best and be its healthiest. The very first thing anyone will tell you is DEFINE YOUR SKIN TYPE. I put that in all caps so that you can understand the level of importance this first step has in everything to follow. Only by knowing your skin type can you accurately get your skin the care it needs. I personally, have also found (as both a personal preference, and what has proven to work best for my skin) that all-natural or plant-based skincare works best for my sensitive skin. Keep in mind that skincare is an individual sport, and what works for one might not for others.

Do no be discouraged if it takes a few different tries to get the results you want, and also be aware that your stress levels, mental health, hormones and diet all play a visible part in your skincare journey. Here are the products and routine steps that I have been loving for my very dehydrated, combination skin:

Hydrating my skin by using toner and thin oils that can penetrate to the deepest dermal layers is key in my routine. What I will also say, and this goes for EVERY skin type in the book, is that you should try and keep to a minimum number of products. The more products you use, or play around with, can confuse your skin and interrupt its healing process. You will end up causing more breakouts and irritations. I would advise keeping it down to no more than 5 products. Finally, please remember to use sunscreen, and stay hydrated by drinking water!
